(Irvine, Calif.) April 18, 2011 — Rusty North America (rusty.com), a world-class leader in skate and surf lifestyle apparel, will add a number of limited edition products to its “So R.AD” skate collection this year with the help of LA-based skate and streetwear brand, Diamond Supply Company.  The collaboration will feature an expansion of Rusty’s popular Wired Series collection and a signature t-shirt, with creative input from Rusty’s own Joey Brezinski and Diamond founder, Nick Tershay, aka Nick Diamond.

The So R.AD and Diamond collaboration will combine Rusty’s best-selling product designs and Brezinski’s irreverent personality with Tershay’s streetwise creativity and distinctive diamond logo.  The collection’s signature pieces include a Wired Series jacket, complete with machine-washable headphones and a plug-in jack for MP3 players; Wired Series pullover fleece; and cotton water-based printed tee.

The Diamond partnership continues the growth of So R.AD, which launched last Summer at the Agenda trade show in Huntington Beach, CA.  Featuring graphic tees, select bottoms and Wired Series designs incorporating the So R.AD logo and Brezinski’s beloved pug, Pizza, the collection is currently available at more than 60 retailers throughout the U.S.

“I’m really excited to partner with a company like Diamond,” said Charlie Setzler, President of Rusty North America.  “Joey and Diamond have had a long standing relationship so it made perfect sense to do our first collaboration with them.  The product that they came up with looks amazing and I can’t wait to see the product hit retail.”

Items in the So R.AD-Diamond Supply line will range from $30 to $110, and drop at retailers nationwide starting this Fall.

“Ever since we launched So R.AD last year, the response has been great,” said Brezinski.  “They keep wondering what Pizza and I will come up with next, so I knew we had to do something big for 2011.  When the opportunity came along to work with the guys at Diamond Supply, I jumped at the chance because they have been making rad apparel for years.”
