100% Stitch-Free All-Way Stretch Technology = Warmest, Strongest DRYLOCK Ever

Xcel has once again raised the bar for wetsuit warmth and performance with the all-new DRYLOCK Power Seam, the warmest and strongest DRYLOCK fullsuit ever to hit the market. The exclusive Power Seam technology delivers Xcel’s industry-leading standard of maximum all-way stretch, thanks to its 100% stitch-free construction – fully leakproof and incredibly durable.

The Power Seam composite is applied to both sides of a quadruple glued seam, creating a fused waterproof seal that requires absolutely no stitching. Its combined stretch and strength allow for a more lightweight final product than alternative stitchless fullsuits – the Power Seam ranging in width from 3mm to 6mm at its widest, versus 8mm and greater constructions.

“After checking out the DRYLOCK Power Seam, I’m excited to see how far Xcel’s pushed themselves to even better suits,” says Xcel team rider Bede Durbidge, current ASP World #5. “All these features really pay off in the water and make the difference in getting the most out of a session.” Developed to complement and enhance DRYLOCK features – a waterproof front entry system; flush-proof wrist seals; dual barrier Airprene/ThermoBamboo core; and 100% UltraStretch neoprene – the resulting DRYLOCK Power Seam System represents the cream of the crop in Xcel wetsuit design.

“The Xcel tradition is to build each fullsuit as an integrated system, and the Power Seam was designed as part of the next evolution of the DRYLOCK,” says Greg Wade, Xcel Sales and Marketing Vice President. “Our expertise in creating complete wetsuit solutions makes us confident that the DRYLOCK Power Seam System is the natural next step forward.” The Power Seam continues Xcel’s history of leading the industry in wetsuit design innovations, from the often-imitated-but-never-duplicated X-ZIP/X-ZIP2 entry solutions; to exclusive UltraStretch Fusion Seam taped technology; to Xcel’s OS offset back zipper system; to durable and flexible “DuraFlex” contoured knee panels.

Xcel’s DRYLOCK System is currently nominated for the Surf Industry Manufacturer’s Association (SIMA) “Wetsuit of the Year” Award, an industry and retailer voted honor it has previously won twice. Continues Durbidge, “With the DRYLOCK being my go-to suit, I’m stoked to get in the water with the Power Seam and experience that next level of performance.” The DRYLOCK Power Seam is offered in a 3/2mm, 4/3mm, and 5/4mm hooded model; and is available in limited release at select retailers now.
