Horrible news for the surf world today. I had the pleasure of shooting Andy on the North Shore and in Australia over the last 2 years. Such a tremendously gifted athlete and a fierce competitor.

I know he was a huge fan of New York City. When I mentioned Rockaway to him last year on the North Shore his eyes lit up. I thought this guerilla photo installation of photos that I shot of him over the last couple of years would be an appropriate tribute. Our thoughts go out to Bruce and the entire Irons family. There is a gaping hole in the heart of the sport of surfing today.
