To help launch the official start of the Going Vertical In Byron Bay sweepstakes for a trip for two to Byron Bay Australia, Aussie surf legend Bob McTavish (pictured left) held a meet and greet with 100 local surf fans at the International Surf Museum in Huntington Beach this week. Bob signed copies of his book, “Stoked” and visitors were treated to a sneak peak of the new surf documentary starring McTavish, Going Vertical, which premiers at the Anaheim Film Festival this week.
Situated on Australia’s New South Wales’ Pacific coastline, Byron Bay has long been a favorite travel destination for surfers and is known for being a laid-back, bohemian refuge with a dynamic mix of alternative philosophies, beach culture and urban sophistication. Valued at more than $10,000, the trip includes two Premium Economy tickets on V Australia from Los Angeles, five-nights accommodation at The Byron at Byron Resort, airport transfers, and kayaking and surfing experiences. Participants can register to win at www.goingverticalinbryonbay.com
