Carlsbad, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2010) – Dragon announces the appointment of Mike Montemurro as the new National Sales Director. Mike is an action sports industry veteran who brings a unique blend of sales experience to the brand. He has been involved in sales and territory management for over 20 years, has owned successful retail stores, and has been a leading sales rep at many brands including DC, DUB Outerwear, Droors Clothing, and most recently, RVCA.
“I worked at Dragon in my early years toward the beginning of my rep career. I have always respected Will Howard, the elite athletes affiliated with Dragon, and the brand’s core message,” says Montemurro. “I am thrilled to be here and to be a part of the growth Dragon is currently experiencing. This promises to be a fun and exciting new time for Dragon.”
Monte’s background is very diverse, which gives him a lot of valuable experience in the action sports market. He surfed on the ASP Tour, traveled abroad surfing and snowboarding, opened retail shops, and even got his pilot credentials before settling into his current role. As the National Sales Director at Dragon, he will be overseeing all the sales efforts for the domestic market and interacting with Dragon’s 1,500 plus retail partners.
