Lineup of surfers stroll onto the RHYTHM Acoustic Stage for a weekend of relaxed, mellow tunes overlooking the tranquil San Diego Bay
San Diego, Ca., July 26, 2010 — A stellar lineup of surfers are set to perform at the Sacred Craft Consumer Surf Expo on the Rhythm acoustic stage in San Diego on August 14 & 15. Included in the musical mellowness is Future Fins ambassador Boo Stubbs. Also on the ticket are San Diego surfers Cindy Santini, Kevin White, Tim Flood, Troy Page, Bedford Grove, and The Red Fox Tails. Rhythm sponsored Roman Alexander and the Robbery whose unique fusion of blues, funk, and soul will join the unique brazzy funk sound of Bedford Grove for a special lunch time set on Saturday.
“While the thrust and the theme of Sacred Craft is always, and will always be, the surfboard, we recognize music as an artistic outlet for many surfers,” said Expo director Scott Bass. “There is a strong connection between ocean waves and sound waves. These musicians live and breath surfing, so it makes sense for us to include their music as part of our expo.”
“The Sacred Craft acoustic stage is a perfect place for Rhythm. Surfboards and music are in Rhythm’s DNA,” said Rhythm’s Rod Tomlinson. “We are stoked to be involved with the Sacred Craft Expo, and super stoked to present Roman Alexander and the Robbery, these guys will get you in Rhythm.”
