There was one day back in early November 2009 where the Gums sandbar (in between Pipeline and Ehukai Beach Park) was absolutely going off it's face. Being a tad early in the season, it was mostly the local boys (like Tai Van Dyke here) out there in the twisting and sand-filled underground pits.
