A record 330 plus surfers completed the minimum five events to be invited to the WSA Gatorade West Coast Championships and more than 300 were in attendance at Church Beach, San Onofre.  A pumping southern hemisphere swell had the waves in the head high plus range all weekend with glassy conditions. The level of surfing was incredible with the young guns blowing airs and really taking things to the next level.  We had 2 areas going for 10 hours a day both days to get it all done.

Top surfers in their divisions based on top 5 results plus West Coast Championships will receive invites to the Surfing America USA Championships or to surf Surfing America Prime next season.

Congratulations to all the Season Champions and finalists and everyone else that competed this season.  Next season opens on July 5 for registration with our first event on August 7 & 8, 2010 at Trails, San Onofre State Beach.
