3 Things That I Thought We’re Gonna Happen Today At The Vans Pier Classic But Didn’t
-An appearance by Skeletor. Richie “Skeletor” Collins was in this event last year, why not this year? With Nicky Wood making a WQS appearance by a few weeks back in Australia, I’d make sense to see some of the old carps putting on a singlet again.

-I was positive a mini riot would start when these two French chicks (above) posted up in pink sweatshirts and g-bangers right next to the competitors tent. Apparently they weren’t up to par and it was a bedlam-free day.
-I was sure I wouldn’t be able to see the contest from the bar at Dukes. Turns out we had a great view, an awesome lunch, a few beers, and got live scores off Casey Boy’s iPhone.
With sunny skies and temperatures predicted to be in the high 70s, the next few days should be jam packed down at the HB pier, come down and check it out—I’ll give you a free magazine*.—Justin Coté
