LANIAKEA BEACH (HawaiiNewsNow) – Evidence of a missing surfer washed up on an Oahu North Shore Beach, now firefighters have resumed the search for the man from California.
35-year-old Sam Zhoum went surfing Tuesday evening, and didn’t return. This morning, a resident walking on Papailoa Point Beach found a pair of ragged black shorts. Police identified the shorts as belonging to Zhoum.
Firefighters and lifeguards began searching by air, and along the shorelines.
Late Tuesday night, a body was spotted in the water. But three large tiger sharks nearby kept fire divers out, and soon the body disappeared again.
