NORTH NARRABEEN, New South Wales/Australia (Saturday, January 16, 2010) – The Billabong ASP World Junior Championships fueled by Monster Energy are underway for what could be the final day of competition.

Small, glassy one-to-two foot (0.5 metre) waves are on offer at North Narrabeen this morning, prompting event organizers to call the men’s Quarterfinals on with the women’s Semifinals on standby. Without much swell predicted for tomorrow, event organizers are hoping to complete the event today, crowning ASP World Junior Champions by day’s end.

First up this morning will be Gabriel Medina (BRA), 16, up against Clay Marzo (HAW), 20, in Quarterfinal 1.

The Billabong ASP World Junior Championships fueled by Monster Energy will be webcast LIVE via billabongpro.com.
