Things To Do In The Surf World

WSA Teams Up With Toys For Tots

Beginning in 1947, Toys For Tots is a well known charitable organization created and run by marines that collects millions of new unwrapped toys for local tots. Their goal is to give hope to those needy youngsters that probably won’t get anything from Santa this year.

The WSA has teamed up with the charity for event five of their Gatorade Championship Tour, running December 5-6 at Oceanside South Jetty. Competitors, as well as those in the crowd, are asked to bring a shiny new toy to put in the barrels that’ll be put around the beach. The marines will be collecting gifts and donations on the 5th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Don’t be Scrooge; come watch the contestants shred and put a smile on some kids face this Christmas.
