We get a lot of requests to make another surfing video game like the one we made years ago cleverly called “TransWorld SURF”. And it appears that now, Tony Hawk feels the same way about bringing surfing back to the vidiots. I liked our game and always felt that a game that meshed ours with “Kelly Slater: Pro Surfer” would be a hit. Anyway, we’ll keep you posted on the efforts…
As reported on kotaku.com
In an interview with GameSpot, skating legend and video game staple Tony Hawk has spoken fondly, and none-too-subtly, of his wishes to see another Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer game. Using the Tony Hawk: Ride controller, of course.
Chatting about what comes next for the expensive peripheral, Hawk says “I think that the first priority, beyond skateboarding, would be snowboarding because that would lend itself [to the board] a little bit easier [than other genres], and beyond that I’d love to do a surfing game. I always thought that Kelly Slater’s [Pro Surfer] was an underrated title for the PlayStation 2. I thought that people didn’t really give it the attention it deserved.”

Trent from San Diego…
I would really like to see another surfing game that would rival Trans-world Surf, I mean lets face it it has been awhile and technology has gotten a whole lot better. I also think having Tony Hawk to back this game is a step in the right direction. The way his games fly off the shelf it should be no problem. With his seal of approval ya can't go wrong. That would be a game I and many others would pay a small fortune of 50-60 green backs. What made Trans-world Surf such a great game was it allowed you to move freely around the breaks- no offense Kelly. The game play was right on! With X box sponsors on most surfing and skateboarding event anyways (Pipe Masters and so on) Microsoft would be a fool to say no. Anyways that my too cents let see if it happens…
