In an effort to raise skin cancer awareness, the World Skin Cancer Foundation hosted the 2009 Slater Brothers Invitational in Cocoa Beach, Florida from November 6-8, 2009. This year’s event included the “Surf With The Stars” competition, where participants raised money for the foundation in exchange for a chance to surf with 9-Time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater, CJ Hobgood, Sean Slater and more. G.Love and Josh Miller took the stage Friday night at Coconuts on the Beach, while The Drifter featuring Rob Machado premiered Saturday. Coconuts also offered free cancer screenings, a silent auction and a Pirate’s Ball Costume Party, while Adam Taylor and other pros showed off on a beach-bound skate ramp.— Michelle Makmann
