Solana Beach, California – September 11th, 2009 – Rerip.com is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual “Future of Surfing” event will be held from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, October 17th, 2009 at Fletcher Cove Park in Solana Beach, CA. Co hosted by the City of Solana Beach, Malama Composites, and Wade Koniakowsky, the event will benefit the Solana Beach Junior Lifeguard Program while highlighting evolving ideas and environmentally focused practices in the surf industry.
Attendees are invited to bring a used but rideable surfboard to donate, and their contribution will be redeemable on site for product such as for surf blanks, art, shoes, clothing, board accessories and other gear from event sponsors. Those looking to buy a board will be able to purchase the donated boards for great deals with all proceeds benefiting the Solana Beach Junior Lifeguard Program. Local musicians, shapers, artists, vendors and environmentally minded organizations help make the day a true community event. Their will also be a collection bin for recycling surfboards.
