Life Rolls On Foundation will present its West Coast season finale of They Will Surf Again at La Jolla Shores Playa del Oro on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m.  They Will Surf Again (TWSA) is an award-winning, quality of life program produced by Life Rolls On Foundation (LRO), which empowers quadriplegics and paraplegics with the opportunity to surf by using adaptive equipment.  More than 150 volunteers will support nearly 50 adaptive surfers at this event, where they will they push the bounds of possibility despite paralysis.

Six-year-old Ian McFarland, paralyzed after a car accident in 2008, which claimed the lives of his parents, will be among the surfers charging waves at They Will Surf Again.  McFarland, whose father taught him how to surf, will be cheered on by friends and family as he realizes his goal of surfing again since his injury.

Also participating in TWSA will be 2009 Ms. Wheelchair California Alyson Roth and LRO Ambassador Patrick Ivison.  “I’m excited to have They Will Surf Again in my hometown,” said Ivison.  “TWSA is more than a day of surfing.  It’s really a program about bringing together the community.”
