Surfrider Charity Event August 16, 2009, Wrap up
The Surfrider Charity Event on August 16, 2009 was packed with ocean conscience, party animal OC residents! Around noon, Kona and Heineken finished setting up their stations and the people started pouring in. Even with the current economic state people were still down for the cause and a chance at wining some awesome raffle prizes. One of the main prizes that was donated was an Electric Bike from EZ Green Bikes in Lake Forest, CA. The $15 cover got you three raffle tickets and a free beer. Some lucky guys paid the cover and went home with a brand new electric bike!
The other highlight of the day was the very sexy bikini contest. 20 girls competed for a $1,000 cash prizes donated by Chronic Cantina. The audience participated as the judges of the bikini contest, so you know every guy was pretty much involved in the final decision. The girls had to also compete in a hula-hoop contest in their bikinis and in high heels—what a combination. Maybe we should make the Model Search winners do something like this for Miss TransWorld SURF top honors?
Big ups to Raquel Figlo, the event planner, who threw a party to remember and for providing us with what we always love to see: a good cause and bikini photos.
