SPONSOR ME HAWAII Lay Day Tuesday – Competitors Warm Up For Start
$10,000 1-star WQS, August 15-22, Ala Moana Bowls
HONOLULU – August 18, 2009 – Surfers and organizers of the Sponsor Me Hawaii at Ala Moana Bowls have elected to hold off on the start for another day, however the forecast looks promising for the remaining four days of the holding period. The event has until Saturday afternoon to run to completion and requires just two full days.
Participants will reconvene to assess the situation at first light tomorrow.
This $10,000 two-day 1-star World Qualifying Series event, sanctioned by the Association of Surfing Professionals, features more than 80 of Hawaii’s top surfers and is a qualifier for the winter Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
