Spring has sprung. For the Eastern Surfing Association, that means the season of Region Championships also kicks off. First off is South East Region Championships, which got underway this weekend at Sebastian Inlet in Florida, and is set to commence today. The Region Championships are where the cream of the crop are decided, as all competitors are battling it out for invitations to the 2009 Eastern Surfing Championships held in Hatteras, North Carolina in September.
