February 24, 2009: – - Billabong, ASP Australasia and Surfing NSW are pleased to announce that $1,700 was raised during the Billabong Pro Junior at Coffs Harbour for the Red Cross Victorian Bush Fire Appeal.
During the 5-day event, a donations box was circulated around the Contest Site at Coffs Harbour where spectators, competitors and officials all gave generously to the Appeal which was set up by the Red Cross to assist individuals and communities affected by devastating bushfires in Victoria two weeks ago.
In addition to the donations, Billabong Pro Junior event t-shirts were sold with all proceeds going straight to the Appeal. Billabong, ASP Australasia and Surfing NSW wish to thank the generosity of the competitors, officials and spectators who donated badly needed funds to provide assistance to the communities affected by the Victorian bush fires.
