SAN DIEGO COURTS: Some of the five men accused in the death of a professional surfer in La Jolla last year are contemplating plea agreements, according to the judge in the case.

San Diego Superior Court Judge John S. Einhorn said yesterday that he met with the men’s lawyers in chambers, where he was informed that some of the defendants were “entertaining” the possibility of changing their not guilty pleas. The judge ordered the men to return to court Friday.

At least one defendant – Seth Cravens – will proceed to trial, according to his lawyer Mary Ellen Attridge.
