BRA Boys ringleader Koby Abberton has clashed with security staff and police at a trendy Bondi watering hole, in a stand-off that stunned local Sunday night drinkers.

Up to ten police officers responded to calls for assistance from the security staff at Ravesi’s on Campbell Parade at about 10pm last night, after Abberton was refused entry to the venue’s new upstairs bar, Drift.

It is understood the big wave surfer was knocked back by Drift door staff because he was attempting to carry his drink from one bar to another, which is against the bar’s rules.

One witness told Confidential that Abberton tried to talk his way past guards for about 20 minutes, allegedly ignoring security staff requests to leave the premises before returning to the downstairs bar where he continued to drink with friends.

“Security wouldn’t touch him, then the police came and just circled him, for about 15 minutes, waiting for him to leave” a witness said.

“Koby just sat there, with an ‘I don’t care’ attitude and kept drinking. He wasn’t drunk, he wasn’t aggressive, he was just chilled.”
