Sole Tech: More Changes Than Destiny’s Child

Here’s the latest batch of fresh meat at Sole Tech.

Dave Pelsue joins us in R&D as a Senior Designer. Pelsue has extensive shoe-designing experience and understands how to work with world-class athletes to fuse their physical demands with their own personal style and create a shoe to meet their needs. Pelsue’s resume includes Avia, Converse, Rockport, and most recently ACI where he designed Shaq’s game shoe for the finals and playoffs under the Dunk Label. Plus, he designed vehicles and props for Battlestar Galactica! Hello, Starbuck…we welcome Dave and look forward to his innovative designs.

[IMAGE 1]Antoine Massy has joined the R&D and Design Team as Manager of Business Opportunities. Massy is based out of Switzerland (because we needed one more Euro) and will be conducting market research and special projects, supporting several departments including Apparel, Promotions, Sales, and Marketing. Massy is a valuable asset “on the ground” in Europe.

In the Marketing Department, Carrie Tucker is our new Music Media Relations Representative. Tucker has over six years of music industry experience in publicity, A&R, and licensing at Warner/Chappell and Giant Records. Most recently, Tucker was “downsized” by a dot.gone, so we get to reap the benefits. Tucker will be handling all music related marketing including band sponsorship, cross promotions, events and music licensing for all of our video releases.

[IMAGE 2]In artistic development, the individuals that comprise our Art Department are now taking on more endeavors to fully develop their vision. Each of these talented men have been deemed Creative Visual Manager of their respective brand/category: Dean Yoshihara, Etnies Skate & Etnies BMX; Ako Jefferson, ├ęS; Randy Laybourne, Emerica; Chris Hughes, Etnies Surf & Etnies Motocross; and Johannes Dachgruber, 32 and Etnies All Terrain.
