Lowers is doing it again for the Nationals. Today the swell picked for some beautiful overhead sets and the perfect venue for the second day of heats. It’s also expected to keep rising for tomorrow which should get real exciting. Since I was late, I missed Austin Ware’s perfect ten-he apparently went a little nuts on some poor wave this morning. [IMAGE 1]Other standouts today included mini-rippers Tanner Gudauskas and the unbelievably good Adam Wickwire. As for the juniors, Che Stang, Eric Taylor, Anthony Petruso, Timmy Reyes, and Joel Centeio put on a show during the quarterfinals. [IMAGE 2]Joel just came back from Brazil where he won the World games Junior Title and the NSSA high school title a couple days ago. Joel is on a roll and has to be a favorite this week. The following is a little interview I had with him this morning-enjoy.[IMAGE 3]
